ACTE Bestows "Distinguished Fellow" Honor on Four
(Alexandria, VA) The Association of Corporate Travel Executives has conferred the mantle of "Distinguished Fellow" on four members, who, by recognition from their colleagues, presented the most effective educational session at the organization's global conference in Munich, last October.
According to recently tabulated evaluations, the session titled, "Reverse Online Auctions," received high marks for content, presentation and audience interaction. ACTE's most recent winners of the Distinguished Fellow honor are presenters, Hanna P. Murphy, CCTE, director of travel management, Siemens Shared Services LLC; David Ogilvie, vice president of global travel, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.; and Peter Schmid, managing director of Impax Advanced Travel Management GmbH; and moderator Matthew Davis, director of global consulting services for American Express.
"Each of these members has demonstrated a creative approach in their thinking, a compelling sense of presentation, and the depth conviction required to energize a technical presentation," said ACTE President Cheryl Hutchinson. "And when the energy surged, they converted it into motivation. These are the elements that have made ACTE educational programs the standard in this industry."
The ACTE Distinguished Fellow award was established in 2000 to recognize excellence in business travel industry education. Recipients are determined through session evaluations submitted by attendees to the ACTE Global Conferences. The next ACTE Distinguished Fellow award will be conferred following the next global conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 27-29.
