Dear Colleague:
As a part of an on-going effort to provide its members with the most current information on industry trends and issues and to strengthen its role as a key constituent and resource to agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), ACTE formed an alliance with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in May of this year.
IAPP is the world's largest association for individuals in the profession of privacy, helping its members build and maintain privacy programs while effectively navigating the rapidly changing regulatory and legal environments. Together ACTE and IAPP have a powerful voice that is recognized and valued by key policy makers.
On behalf of IAPP, ACTE would like to inform you of a Privacy and National Security Forum being held in Washington, DC, on September 30th. This event features Greeley Koch, ACTE President-Elect and Bruce McIndoe, member of the ACTE Traveller Security Task Force as well as other note-worthy presenters from government agencies and the private sector.
Please share the registration brochure and information with the Privacy Officer of your company. This event is sure to be timely and insightful for him or her and will provide important information about the privacy and security issues facing your company. If you are interested in attending yourself, please note that IAPP has extended its discounted member rate to include ACTE members.
Please call ACTE International at 1-703-683-5322 should you have any questions regarding this or any other ACTE initiative. Thank you for your continued support and valued membership.
Best regards,
