Travel Managers Demand Answers From Global Travel Association
Singapore (26 August 2002) -- Business travel managers from Asia and the
Pacific Rim are coming to Singapore on 27 August, demanding answers...
Answers to questions like: What steps can my company take to reduce travel costs now without eliminating travel as an option; How can I get upper management to back my travel policy; What is the best way to reinvest the 30 to 50 percent savings we'll realize in travel expenditures?
They expect to get the answers from the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, the organization hosting "Building A Blueprint For Excellence in Travel Management," a two-day workshop (27-28 August, at the Pan Pacific Hotel, in Singapore) focusing on how to grow a corporate travel agenda while seriously cutting costs. Not surprisingly, the event, which has attracted a lot of attention from top executives of major corporations, is now sold out.
Serene Chua, Strategic Sourcing Manager - Indirect Materials Procurement for Agilent Technologies Singapore, said, "We don't need theory. We need policy that works here, in Asia - now. I registered for this program for access to successful Asian travel policies."
Travel management experts from Dell, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, PepsiCo, Alliente Inc., CSFB, and Reuters are among ACTE's presenters whose programs have all produced immediate results, but whose philosophy is geared for promoting increased travel productivity with a greater return on profit.
Sponsors of the regional workshop include American Express, BTI, Carlson Wagonlit, Radius, Travel Weekly Corporate, The Pan Pacific Hotel, and TQ3. It is also supported by the Institute of Management Consultants, Singapore.
The ACTE Asia-Pacific Training Workshop will be held from 27-28 August 2002 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore. Interested parties can obtain more information on the workshop by contacting the conference secretariat at 65-6837 3273 or visiting the website at www.acte.org.
