Richard Case and Harvey Skolnick Join ACTE Leadership Team

(Alexandria, VA – April 13, 2004) Richard Case and Harvey Skolnick have joined the Association of Corporate Travel Executive’s global leadership team. According to an announcement made today by ACTE President Garth Jopling, Case will begin serving as the association’s US Regional Chair, while Skolnick has assumed the role of Treasurer.

We’re proud to welcome Richard Case and Harvey Skolnick to ACTE’s circle of leaders, said Garth Jopling. Both reflect the highest ideals of industry leaders committed to service -- to travelers, to customers, and to their colleagues. And I’d also like to acknowledge the support their companies have shown each of them in these volunteer endeavors.”

General Manager for account development at Travelport Corporate Solutions, Richard Case has more than 25 years of experience in the business travel industry. He is currently responsible for creating and implementing the company’s account development and growth strategy, service to US-based companies, and leading the Travelport Account Development Team on a daily basis. Prior to his current position, Case served as the senior service manager at Microsoft where he oversaw the company’s international travel program. He has also been a multinational account manager at American Express, a regional manager for client relations at Rosenbluth International, and worked in reservation management for Delta Airlines.

Case will be instrumental in determining ACTE’s direction in the US, gauging membership needs, measuring industry trends, and responding to the industry’s grassroots movement.

“ACTE cuts right to the chase in providing the international community with the means to keep business travel vital and viable, said Case. My company and I are pleased to support the association in this endeavor.”

Executive Director of Meeting and Travel Services for KPMG LLP, Harvey M. Skolnick was given the responsibility to consolidate the firm's travel program, which used over 400 travel agencies in 80 locations in 1990. Today it captures all company travel through one credit card and one agency. During his 43-year tenure at KPMG (and its predecessor), Skolnick has served as an audit partner, Partner-in-Charge of the New York office, the metropolitan area, the northeast, head of the predecessor's US operations, Assistant Managing Partner of KPMG's executive office and KPMG's Director of Treasury. He also serves on airline and hotel advisory boards and is actively involved in negotiating all of the firm's air, hotel, car and card vendor agreements. Skolnick has previously been a member of the board and the nominating committee for ACTE.

“My company and I support ACTE’s objectives and programs. We recognize the value of the forum this organization provides suppliers, purchasers, and business travelers. I am showing that support by volunteering my services again.” said Skolnick.
