Aggressive Start for ACTE’s Educational Mission in ASPAC
(Singapore, February 18, 2003) - The Association of Corporate
Travel Executives starts the year with a series of five educational
offerings in the first quarter. The events in the ASPAC region
will address topics covering security-maintenance & crisis
management for business travel, how technology has altered the
purchasing behaviour for business travel services, the advent
of low-cost carriers & the analysis of their value-proposition
and online auction sites for travel services. Executive Forums
are scheduled for Hong Kong, 25 February and Singapore, 28 February.
In addition, ACTE is hosting three educational sessions during
the Business Travel Expo Hong Kong, 25-27 March 2003.
Speakers at ACTE’s forums include experts in their respective
fields, travel management professionals and suppliers with direct
experience in providing these services. In the line-up are reputable
security and risk management companies such as International SOS
and Control Risks Group whose analysts will answer questions in
a time when conflicts threaten to disrupt the business travel
activities globally. Technology will also be examined in the context
of its role in changing the manner in which corporations procure
business travel services. A veteran from IBM’s travel &
transportation industry group will discuss these changes and the
impact it will exert on this activity.
ACTE is proud to present these events as part of its mission
to advance
the industry with the support of its regional sponsors Abacus
International, Business Travel International and Raffles International
Hotels & Resorts. The official venues for these forums are
the Eaton Hotel in Hong Kong and the Raffles City Convention Centre
in Singapore. For more information and details, please visit www.acte.org
