ACTE'S MEMBERSHIP REACHES 1,300
Forty-Four Percent Membership Growth Since September, 1995
Madrid -- The Association of Corporate Travel Executives announced today that its worldwide membership has reached 1,300 up from 902 members in September, 1995. This is ACTE's highest membership level since the association was founded in 1987.
ACTE's membership roster includes 887 members from the US, 125 Canadian members and 285 European members representing thirteen European countries. Corporate Travel or Purchasing Managers comprise the largest segment of ACTE membership at forty percent. Supplier members represent thirty-five percent of the membership, travel agency executives twenty percent with consultants, journalists and other categories constituting five percent.
"This is an exciting time in ACTE's history" said Earl Foster, the association's president and operations manager, corporate travel for Hewlett-Packard. "ACTE's growth validates the importance of multinational corporate travel management and affirms that ACTE is well positioned to meet its members' needs in a quickly evolving global business environment".
