ACTE Appoints Executive Director
Washington, DC -- The Board of Governors of the Association of Corporate
Travel Executives and ACTE President Earl Foster are pleased to announce
the appointment of Nancy Holtzman to the position of Executive Director.
Ms. Holtzman has been an active member of ACTE since 1991, and has served
as a member of the Board of Governors, co-chairperson of the Industry Advisory
Council and co-chairperson of the 1996 Annual Members Conference. She was
recently awarded the associations highest honor, the ACTE Presidents
Award, at the Annual Members Conference held in Chicago in April.
Since 1979, Ms. Holtzman has held various senior management positions within
the travel industry, most particularly within the corporate travel segment
of the industry. Most recently, she has been responsible for the global strategic
account management direction at System One AMADEUS. Prior to the position
at System One AMADEUS, she was instrumental in the development and direction
of the corporate sales initiative at Continental Airlines.

industry experience and in depth knowledge of ACTE will provide her with
the ability to support the organization as ACTE continues to lead the industry
in providing excellent educational and networking opportunities to corporate
travel executives around the world," commented Earl Foster, ACTE President
and Director of Global Travel for Joseph Seagram & Sons, Inc. "Nancy
will be at the forefront of shaping ACTEs future, especially as it
becomes more of a global organization."
As Executive Director, Ms. Holtzman will be supported by Lisa Lopinsky, Director
of Communications and Member Support; Bill Harrison, Director of Finance;
Rachel Cohen, Conference Manager and Cessalie Bruce, Manager of Administration
and Membership. Ms. Holtzman will assume her position in Washington, DC on
October 1, 1997.
The next ACTE Global Conference will be held in Berlin from November 2-4,
1997, with the 1998 Annual Members Conference scheduled for May 31-June 3,
1998, in New Orleans.
The Association of Corporate Travel Executives is a non-profit professional
organization comprised of corporate practitioners of travel management techniques
and suppliers of business travel services. ACTE was formed in 1987 expressly
to educate, promote, protect and advance the interests of its members as
well as the interests of the corporate travel industry as a whole.
