New Members Elected to Board of Governors
Washington, DC - The Association of Corporate Travel Executives announced the election of new members to the organization's Board of Governors. The 20 new members, from Europe, Canada and the United States, will serve a two-year term beginning on April 30, 1997.
"ACTE's Board of Governors is crucial to the effective operation and development of the association," commented Earl Foster, Operations Manager, Corporate Travel Management for Hewlett-Packard and ACTE President. "Our members have elected superb representatives from around the world to provide strategic direction to the organization."
Elected to the Board, representing Europe are: Derek Jewson, Unilever; Herman Mensink, Philips Electronics; Annika R. dotter Ortmark, The Swedish Management Group; Tom Stone, SmithKline Beecham; Anthony John Helbling, Kuoni BTI and Mike Platt, Hogg Robinson Business Travel International. Canadian representatives include: John Craig, Bank of Montreal; Alain Legault, Canada Post; and David Ogilvie, ITT Sheraton. Representatives from the United States include: George Odom, Eli Lilly; Cindy Scanlon, Philips Medical Systems, NA; Harvey Skolnick, KPMG Peat Marwick, April Emerson, Medtronic; Angela Meijer, Polygram Records; PJ Steeby, Rosenbluth International; Larry Cook, Travel and Transport; Dan Geller, ITT Sheraton; Bob Matthei, Citicorp Diners Club; Danny Hood, WorldTravel Partners and Randy Mayer, Marriott International.
The Association of Corporate Travel Executives is a non-profit professional organization comprised of corporate practitioners of travel management techniques and suppliers of business travel services. ACTE was formed in 1987 expressly to educate, promote, protect and advance the interests of its members as well as the interests of the corporate travel industry as a whole.
