Organization
Position Summary - Provides continuous interface and coordination
of travel related data and analyses to travel managers within the Corporate
Travel Organization. This position requires a global perspective and the
ability to acquire an in-depth understanding of the travel industry environment.
Minimum Desired Background:
Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field, plus
a minimum of 2 to 4 years experience. Alternate: 5 to 7 years relevant
experience, plus related education in accounting and/or finance.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the travel industry, its suppliers
and emerging technology from a global perspective.
Manage projects which require financial analysis, industry assessment
and strategy formulation for various travel initiatives. Requires understanding
of strategic initiatives for both the Global Purchasing Organization and
the Corporation.
Conduct external benchmarking of travel programs to support Ñbest
in classæ measurements.
Plan, coordinate and negotiate the complex arrangement to support the
corporate card program globally (corporate cards, express cash and travelers
cheques; $ volume in excess of $450 million). Identify potential suppliers,

Purpose
Plans, organizes and manages executive and corporate travel procurement
strategies nationally and globally to achieve cost, quality and service
objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
Plans, organizes, and manages senior executive travel including coordination
of intensive itineraries with executive jet/charter services, ground transportation,
hotel accommodations, destination information to identify and fulfill special
needs of this group.
Develops and implements corporate travel procurement strategies nationally
and globally to achieve cost, quality and service objectives. Cultivates
and evaluates long-term, cooperative partnerships with suppliers on the
basis of price, as well as factors including traveler productivity, service
levels, value for money, reliability and timeliness of reporting information,
and traveler safety and security.
Identifies technologies and implements new approaches to streamline
the administrative aspects of travel and entertainment management, including
electronic ticketing, smart cards, automated travel booking products, corporate
intranet applications, and so forth. Measures the success of these initiatives.
Serves as the primary source of advice and assistance to the corporation
and its subs diaries in travel negotiation and policy enforcement.
Acts as a liaison with the Security Department to ensure travelers are
aware of potential threats to their security including terrorism, kidnapping,
crime and industrial espionage.

Individual will be responsible for all the contract negotiation, rates,
conditions and selection, when needed, of airlines, car rentals, car service,
