ACTE GLOBAL TO BE HELD IN MADRID: IMPRESSIVE LIST OF SPEAKERS

SUPPORTS CONFERENCE THEME "INVESTING IN THE FUTURE"

Washington, DC -- ACTE Global 1996 - Investing in the Future, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives' annual international conference, will be held September 8-10, 1996 in Madrid, Spain. Following the success of its Annual Members Conference held recently in Seattle, ACTE is planning another exciting educational program for ACTE Global 1996. In addition to a variety of workshop sessions, the conference will feature keynote presentations on some of the most relevant topics in global management today, including airline ticket distribution, worldwide marketing and branding, and opening business markets in Asia.

"ACTE Global is designed to address the new needs of a quickly evolving global business environment," said William Hagel, conference co-chair and Travel Services Manager for AT&T.; "This conference will rate highly, not only for the quality of the educational program but also for the important networking opportunities it will afford."

Jose Antonio Tazon, President and CEO of Amadeus Global Travel Distribution in Madrid, will welcome ACTE Global participants to his native Spain with a discussion of the future of airline ticket distribution, including CRS evolution, ticketless travel and Internet bookings.

C. Patrick Garner, Director of Marketing -Greater Europe Group for The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, will discuss worldwide marketing and brand management from the perspective of one of the most recognizable name brands in the world.

Crispin O'Brien, Japan and China Liaison Partner at KPMG in London, specializes in cross border investment with particular emphasis on the Asia Pacific. His keynote presentation entitled, "Asia 2000- The Next Business Challenge", will provide insight into an as yet unexplored markets for many corporate travel professionals.

"The ACTE Global agenda reflects the emphasis in our organization on providing educational benefits not available any place else in the industry," said Earl Foster, ACTE President and Operations Manager Corporate Travel for Hewlett-Packard. "We aim to give our members the critical information they need to develop comprehensive travel management strategies."

Brochures for ACTE Global 1996 will be mailed in mid-May. Early bird registration is $450 for ACTE members, and $600 for non-members. Registration will be limited to 350 participants.

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives is a non-profit professional organization comprised of corporate practitioners of travel management techniques and suppliers of business travel services. ACTE was formed in 1987 expressly to educate, promote, protect and advance the interests of its members as well as the interests of the corporate travel industry as a whole.
