RECORD NUMBERS EXPECTED FOR ACTE GLOBAL 1996

Registration Closed for Upcoming Conference in Madrid

Washington, DC -- The Association of Corporate Travel Executives announced today that registration for its upcoming conference in Madrid, ACTE Global 1996, has been closed due to capacity limitations. The conference, September 8-10, has attracted more than 375 business travel leaders from around the world, an increase of 150 participants over last year's conference held in Budapest.

"Obviously, we are thrilled with the incredible interest in ACTE Global 1996," commented Toby Joseph, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Conference Co-Chair. "Unfortunately, we are limited by the size of the hotel and capacity of the off-site venues and, therefore, have to close registration. ACTE's reputation for providing superb conferences with strong educational and networking opportunities is evident by the overwhelming response to ACTE Global."

The topics that will be covered at ACTE Global 1996 include procurement, payment and reconciliation; new technologies, from smart cards to agentless bookings; security on the Internet; outsourcing; and the global RFP process. Keynote presentations will cover topics such as the future of airline ticket distribution, worldwide marketing and branding and Asia - the next business challenge.

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives is a non-profit professional organization comprised of corporate practitioners of travel management techniques and suppliers of business travel services. ACTE was formed in 1987 expressly to educate, promote, protect and advance the interests of its members as well as the interests of the corporate travel industry as a whole.
