If you attended ACTE X in New Orleans or ACTE Global in Paris, you experienced the successful efforts of two groups of dedicated professionals ­ both focused on raising the bar of quality education and networking opportunities. We tip our hats to them. These committees passed the torch
of excellence to the ACTE XI Planning Committee and challenged us to deliver more, to listen more closely to the ACTE members and conference participants, and to develop an experience of learning that you can transform into knowledge. In short, to deliver a conference that will add to the success of the ACTE members, one by one!

Guests

Who is a guest? A guest is a spouse/significant other, friend or an adult child (18 and over) who is not in an industry-related occupation. A co-worker or an associate within the industry may not use the Guest Registration category. Registered guests may participate in all official social events, meal functions and general sessions. Registered guests are not eligible to attend education sessions.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Full refunds, less $75.00 processing fee per registrant, will be granted for cancellations received in writing by ACTE prior to April 26, 1999. No refunds will be given after April 26, 1999. Refunds will not be given for no-shows after the conference.

Official ACTE badges must be worn at all Conference events.

Private Social Functions Policy

Social functions, at which attendance is restricted to either verbal or written invitations, are not permitted to occur during any official ACTE activity. ACTE reserves the right to postpone or delay any function conflicting with an official ACTE function.

Washington, DC Tours

Two guided sightseeing tours will be offered on May 22 and May 23, 1999. Tour registration fees are not included in the conference registration fee. Please fill out the tour section of the Registration Form to register. Delegates must pre-register for the tours and tour confirmations will be sent prior to the conference. Tour tickets will be distributed to pre-registrants at tour check in at the Grand Hyatt prior to departure. All tours will depart on time at 1:00 p.m. from the Grand Hyatt Washington. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Tours are limited and walk ins will only be permitted on a space available basis. There will be NO refunds on tour cancellations.

The Memorial Tour Saturday, May 22

Enjoy an educational and moving tour of memorials and Arlington Cemetery. This half day tour of Downtown DC and Arlington Cemetery includes the interiors of the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial. Korean War Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, and the John F. Kennedy Gravesite. Drive by and observe historic Georgetown, beautiful Embassy Row, the White House, the infamous Watergate, and the Iwo Jima Memorial.

The Colonial Tour Sunday, May 23

Step back into the colonial period with an unforgettable visit to Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington. Visit the exquisitely maintained mansion and support buildings while enjoying the gardens that President Washington himself cultivated. Enjoy a drive through historic Old Towne Alexandria to observe the boyhood homes of President Washington and Robert E. Lee, Fort Washington, and the Masonic Temple.
