ACTE Names Stockholm as Site for 2004 Global Conference

Alexandria, Va (13 January 2004) -- The Association of Corporate Travel Executives, a member-driven organization with over 2,500 members representing leaders in the business travel industry worldwide, announced today that the city of Stockholm would host the group's October Global Conference in 2004. The three-day conference is slated to convene on 17 October and run through 19 October.

"Against the background of a strong 2003 conference in Dublin and an aggressive educational calendar slated in Europe and around the world for 2004, ACTE Members can look forward to a Stockholm conference where they can continue to tackle the latest issues and benchmark their travel programmes with a global community of their peers" said Nancy Holtzman, ACTE's executive director.

ACTE welcomes the opportunity to bring together such a distinguished array of business leaders, procurers of business travel, industry suppliers, and travel management representatives. These leaders of the global business travel industry will focus on issues which demand a global effort within the business travel community to develop clear goals and solutions. ACTE is confident conference participants will find the experience extremely valuable and be impressed by the depth of content, expertise of panelists, and interactive atmosphere of the educational sessions.

"In addition to the ease in which our global delegates can travel to Stockholm, we selected this venue because the city made us an offer we could not refuse -- their contribution to the success of this event is considerable," said Nancy Holtzman, ACTE's executive director. "Plus, we have very strong support from our Nordic constituency, who represent some of the most progressive firms in Europe."

The full programme for the 2004 Conference in Stockholm will be posted on the ACTE website shortly. In addition to this conference, ACTE will also hold a Conference in Orlando, Florida, USA from 25-27 April 2004 and has scheduled over 60 Executive Forums, PowerTalks, Webcasts and Training Workshops in cities around the world in 2004. ACTE's 2004 Global Educational Events Calendar can be found on the ACTE website at www.acte.org
