Beginning with a brief discussion on the historical background related to the establishment of IATA and its role as the representative voice of 280 airlines, this session will turn its focus to the environment and issues that have led to petitioning of IATA for changes, including an analysis of additional costs incurred through adherence to the disputed IATA regulations.
