In 2003, ACTE and a coalition of business travel associations petitioned the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to change outdate regulations that hobbled business in Europe. Join us for a session examining direct and indirect costs incurring to business travel in complying with certain IATA regulations. We will clarify the issues and their impacts to your business. The session will bring you the reality behind these complex rules updating you on progress and telling you how you can help accelerating changes.

Each of the main GDSs present in Europe has developed regional strongholds. In the light of the future European Commission deregulation, this geographical split of Europe between Amadeus, Sabre and Galileo is particularly important to consider. Multi-national corporations need to understand the impact of GDS deregulation. Will all GDSs provide access to all suppliers? Will corporation need several GDS to operate in Europe? How will GDS fees be affected by the new rules? An expert panel will launch the Forum programme with a discussion of these and other possible scenarios that will impact travel in Europe.

GDS are not going away but rather reinventing themselves like every other player in the travel industry. This session will look at the various viable travel distribution alternatives and their benefits to corporations in Europe.

Moderated by BSkyB's Travel Procurement Manager Ray Wooldridge, the session will use Ray's insights with SBT and draw from his deep understanding of the corporate costs control struggle. KDS Chief Executive Officer Yves Weisselberger's thought provoking views on the benefits of online travel management solution will be echoed by Brad Holman, Managing Director EMEA, Cendant TDS, explaining his company's vision of distribution. These discussions might be challenged by Amex Vice President, Head of Supplier Relations for EMEA Brian Mogler when he describes the growing need for Travel Management Companies in our increasingly dematerialised industry.
