FORUMS:

Euro Implications the Corporate Viewpoint
It is a known fact that large corporations will be impacted by the introduction of euro. In a series of presentations, senior management from large European corporations will provide expert opinions on the impact of euro on Finance, Travel Management and Human Resources, Treasury and Information Technology. How will corporations mandate the use of euro with their suppliers during the Transition Period? What are the technological implications to the corporate accounting systems? What challenges will treasury face? How will marketing handle transparency of prices across borders?

Euro Implications the Supplier Viewpoint
The impression given by multinational travel managers and purchasers is that, in the short to medium term, they are relying on their travel related providers to make their systems euro compliant. However, in many cases, supplier readiness is a strategic issue for travel managers and purchasers which goes far beyond invoicing and being able to handle payments in euro. How will suppliers handle currency conversion (triangulation)? Will there be price transparency and ultimately price uniformity?

How will suppliers deal with euro during the Transition Period? What will the effect be on new contractual arrangements? These will be among some of the questions put to the supplier panel in this open question & answer forum. Additionally, corporate travel managers are invited to communicate their questions in advance by e-mail to: [email protected] (ref: BXL Forum). This is your opportunity to have all your questions answered.

Global Travel Policies
Creating the framework for a global travel programme requires thoughtful planning and tremendous patience. Communication, implementation and regional differences all represent challenges to be overcome. What are the corporate goals, what is the implication for the regional offices and how does the policy affect the traveller? How best can travel management companies and suppliers add value to the corporate bottom line? Discover strategies and techniques to help you integrate a successful policy for your company. In this practical panel discussion, senior executives from major corporations will share their experiences and provide practical tips.

The Forum will be held in English.
