ACTE Awards Committee

The Awards Committee recognizes efforts and results worthy of industry attention and praise. The Committee manages the nomination and selection process for three awards presented at the Annual Members' Conference. In 1996, the President's Award was presented to Michael Spooner of Reynolds Metals for significant contributions to ACTE. The Industry Professionalism Award was presented to Fred Swaffer, Hewlett-Packard, for significant contributions to the travel industry. The Business Professionalism Award was awarded to Larry Cook, Travel and Transport, for significant contributions to his company.

The Awards Committee also assists the ACTE Global Committee in the selection of the recipient of the annual Global Vision Award. Steven Schoen of The Global Group received the 1995 Global Vision award for excellence and innovation in global travel management practices.
