There is perhaps nothing more important to the strength and vitality of an organisation than its mobile talent. Relocation helps organisations recruit, develop and deploy the talent they need to achieve their stated mission. But relocation is also a complex and ever-evolving process, impacted by everything from economic conditions to the competitive landscape of the industry. In this introduction to relocation, Jennifer Connell, Practice Leader of Weichert Workforce Mobility’s Advisory Services will provide a high level overview of relocation, the lifecycle of a transferring employee, and the provisions commonly provided to mobilize talent. Insights into the Government of Canada Next Generation Travel Programme
The NextGen Travel Programme goal is to re-imagine a system that is all encompassing; accessible, innovative, easy to use and intuitive. Through our cross-Canada tour, we visited 8 key cities and met with 750+ public servants to gain their perspectives and insights on the creation of Government-wide solutions. In this session you will gain insights into how the Government has shifted its focus on putting users first. The audience will leave with new ideas on how you can incorporate change within your organisation and truly listen to your travellers. Service providers will have a glimpse at what the GoC is looking for in their travel programme and how user design is a key initiative.
