Political and economic developments outside the business travel industry exert a significant impact on the cost of travel through legislative issues, predatory pricing, taxation, and technological developments. ACTE's advisory committees anticipate and monitor these developments. Their findings translate the impact of each development into cost factors (time, hard currency expense, training, and/or legislative action) to the travel industry. The Advisory CommitteesŐ research and the ensuing educational programming empowers our members to stay ahead of outside pressures that drive up the cost of business travel or impede traveler productivity.
You may find detailed information about individual issues by accessing the links below.
If you would like to become involved and lend your expertise to one of our existing advisory committees, please fill out a volunteer form here to be considered. ACTE Advisory Committees are compromised of 8 to 12 active ACTE members in good standing.
ACTE encourages members to propose new topics for research and education not currently being addressed by an existing advisory committee. The Initiatives Board Committee will review these proposals to determine which will become an ACTE Initiative. Selection guidelines have been identified and it is expected that an ACTE Initiative will live on beyond the research, education, articles and other ACTE deliverables. Please complete the Initiative Proposal form found here.
