Rail Transportation - VIA Rail Canada

Toronto’s central train station is Union Station, located at 65 Front Street West across the street from The Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

Conditions are as follows:

• Valid for a 50% discount off the full adult regular fare in Comfort (Economy) or VIA 1 First Class valid between any station located in the Quebec-Windsor Corridor and Toronto.  Note that the destination of your one-way or round trip must be Toronto.
  
• Valid for travel November 5 – 11, 2009 inclusive
  
• Bookings may be made online at www.viarail.ca, by calling 1-888-VIA-RAIL or at the counter. Quote discount code 11668.
  
• Fares are net, non-commissionable
  
• Refunds and exchanges are allowed for a $25 service charge per direction.  
  
• Discount cannot be combined with any other special or promotional fare.
  
• A maximum of two passengers may travel together on the same trains and dates, however, at least one of the two passengers must present either proof of registration at the ACTE Canada Education Conference.
  
• Tickets must be issued by a VIA agent at a ticket counter.  Prior to issuance, the agent will verify identification. If identification requirements are not met, tickets will be rebooked at best-available fare less the $25 service charge per direction.

Union Station is the closest subway stop to The Fairmont Royal York and is connected to the hotel via underground walkway.

Airport Transportation

From Pearson Airport

Airport Express service departs Pearson Airport every 20 – 30 minutes via highway coach to downtown Toronto.  Travel time is approximately 30 – 60 minutes, depending on traffic. Airport Express drops off and picks up at The Fairmont Royal York Hotel.  Click here for additional information on fares and schedules.

Travel time & fares via taxi/limousine will vary according to traffic, but are approximately $40-$50 each way.

Take the complimentary Porter Airlines shuttle bus directly to The Fairmont Royal York Hotel

Hotel Self-Parking connecting to the hotel is provided by Cadillac Fairview at 79 Wellington Street West. Hotel elevators located on P3 and P5. No in and out privileges permitted. Pay per visit.

• Flat Weekend Daily Self-Parking Rate from 6:00am – 6:30pm: $10.00*
• Flat Evening Self-Parking Rate after 5:00pm to 6:00am: $10.00*
