I am honored to be under consideration for the ACTE Board. The rapid changes we are experiencing in our industry and the global economy mean ACTE's leadership in driving discussion of relevant industry issues has never been more critical for its members.
Just as all of us in the business travel industry are facing unprecedented challenges in a changing global travel environment, so must the content and delivery of our education programs. Progressive and exciting ideas should be fostered and implemented to sustain and grow the membership base.
It is essential as we move forward to ensure ACTE's mission and strategic direction are aligned in order to meet member and sponsor needs. I will bring a balanced background of experience on both the supplier and buyer side with over 15 years of travel industry experience. My experience with large multinational corporations in various industries has given me the insight to understand the pressures and priorities that many of our members deal with. Furthermore I have the hands-on experience of building - one brick at a time - a global travel program and taking it to best in class status. I truly believe that organizations such as ACTE and the network it engenders is critical to enable its members to demonstrate the value they can bring to their corporations while creating a valued resources for sharing and learning. I can offer the right amount of focus, commitment, insight and value to assist ACTE in its mission of providing global and regional leadership for the advancement of the business travel industry.
It would be a privilege to participate in ACTE's mission in 2009 and beyond. Thank you for your support.
